Chris the Man
 

I was born in Okinawa on a US Airforce Base. I moved to Ohio and was raised in Dayton and Yellow Springs. I’m a nonpartisan liberal, who believes that our political system is broken. I have no religion other than love. I don’t believe in racism, bigotry, sexism, genderism, religious hatred, or any other form of belief that allows or encourages others to be scorned or mistreated.

 

I’m a musician, poet, and writer. I enjoy many diverse things. I would be just as happy playing chess as I would be jamming with my band, hiking in the woods, or having an intellectual conversation. Above all else I like meeting and cultivating relationships with interesting people.

 

I believe in not taking myself too seriously and having a good time. If you can’t laugh at yourself, something’s wrong.

 

I believe our unhealthy perversion of Capitalism has led to a Plutocracy. The politicians are beholden to the rich elite who pull the strings and dictate policy. Until gerrymandering and lobbying are limited, the politicians will be choosing their voters, instead of the voters choosing the politicians. Politicians should not be beholden to billionaires but rather to the people they represent.  

 

I believe sex and cooking are artforms. I believe in the power of art, poetry, literature, and music to elevate and transport the human consciousness, without the limitations of time and physics.

 

It is my sincerest hope that my novels evoke thought and move my readers to emotion.
